Position Summary

The Clinical Operations Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the organization's daily operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. This role is responsible for overseeing operational performance, leading cross-functional teams, improving processes, maintaining quality standards, and supporting sustainable business growth. The Clinical Operations Manager partners with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Duties and responsibilities


Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide strategic leadership, guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing remote work culture.
  • Support employee engagement, professional development, and retention initiatives.
  • Promote organizational values while encouraging accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with workforce planning, organizational development, and succession planning.
  • Lead by example, cultivating trust, transparency, and effective communication across remote teams.


Operational Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned departments to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and standardized workflows.
  • Evaluate operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure departments operate in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve organizational processes and support long-term growth.


Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain quality standards across operational functions.
  • Develop and implement procedures that support regulatory compliance and organizational best practices.
  • Conduct operational reviews and audits to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and industry regulations.


Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that support organizational objectives.
  • Translate organizational goals into actionable operational plans.
  • Lead projects that improve operational performance, support growth, and increase organizational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate business performance and recommend strategies to improve scalability and long-term success.
  • Support organizational change management initiatives and ensure successful implementation.


Performance Management

  • Establish departmental goals, performance expectations, and measurable outcomes.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans when appropriate.
  • Recognize high performance and support employee growth through development opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous learning.


Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted operational advisor to organizational leadership.
  • Promote collaboration across departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication between teams and leadership.
  • Represent the organization professionally during meetings, partnerships, and collaborative initiatives.


Qualifications
  • Required: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.
  • Active state licensure as a Registered Dietitian, where required by applicable state regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership, clinical operations, or healthcare operations management experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing organizational operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and improve operational processes.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and clinical operations.
  • Experience in an outpatient healthcare, nutrition, or professional services organization is preferred.


Hours and Locations
  • Full-time, remote position with office hours Monday to Friday, either 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (AZ Time).

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while leading remote teams effectively.


Pay
  • $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Environment
  • This position is performed in a fully remote work environment.
  • Requires the ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating with remote teams.
  • Frequent use of video conferencing, email, messaging platforms, project management software, and other digital collaboration tools is required.
  • Must maintain a dedicated, professional home office with reliable high-speed internet and the ability to safeguard confidential information.
  • Occasional travel may be required for company meetings, leadership retreats, training, conferences, or other business-related events.


Requirements
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, telephone, and headset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through virtual meetings and other electronic communication methods.
